Strengthening the Resilience of the Western Negev communities

One of the core principles upon which the organization is founded is the strengthening of the Negev, with the communities of the Western Negev serving as a remarkable illustration of life in this region.

The events of October 7th had a profound impact on the entire Western Negev. The personal losses and extended war in the area, coupled with prolonged dislocation from their homes, have affected the communities and their residents in complex and significant ways.

The Rimon Farms association also experienced losses on that fateful day.

Liran Almosnino z”l, the director of Lahav Farm, left his home to safeguard the communities of the Western Negev and tragically lost his life in a courageous battle.

Additionally, Adrienne Neta z”l, a dedicated volunteer who was like a mother to many of the farm's youth, was murdered in her cherished Kibbutz Beeri.

In light of the urgent need for rehabilitation and the desire to restore the affected communities to their homes, the association has initiated efforts to establish centers in the Western Negev. These centers will embody the spirit of agriculture and community, providing a space for mental respite, cultural activities, processing, hope, healing, and rehabilitation.

The first farm, currently under construction, is situated near Kibbutz Or HaNer and will cater to the surrounding communities.

A second farm is planned to be located adjacent to Kibbutz Reim, serving the communities in the Eshkol region.

This stands as our foremost priority as an organization.

We express our unwavering support for the communities of the Western Negev.
