The objectives of the classroom are to enhance the academic capabilities of youth whom we believe can reintegrate into the education system, while also providing those who will not return to the traditional educational system with the chance to achieve 12 years of education and/or a matriculation certificate, serving as instruments for social leadership.

During these journeys, we transcend limitations and reconnect with our true selves. In the desert, the lack of visible boundaries compels the teens to establish personal limits. These experiences serve as excellent opportunities for team building and personal growth among the teens.

Cleaning the forest

We reside in the center of the Lahav Forest and consider ourselves visitors in this beautiful region. Every two weeks, we join volunteers and KKL-Junk staff for a cleanup initiative in Lahav Forest, reflecting our commitment to the environment we inhabit.

Agriculture is our "bread and butter".
Engaging in agriculture offers the opportunity for rapid and significant achievements, enhancing both your sense of capability and self-esteem. Working in agriculture fosters focus and resilience, while also instilling a sense of responsibility in young individuals.

The farm features multiple agricultural plots, all cultivated through innovative and natural methods, avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and minimizing soil disruption. The crops grown are seasonal, and the agricultural efforts are primarily carried out by the youth. All profits generated are reinvested into the project.

Our farm plots include: wine grape vineyards, an agroforestry orchard, an edible forest, a vegetable garden, an artichoke plot, and an olive vineyard.

Every Thursday afternoon (on alternating weeks) and Friday, Rimon Farm welcomes the public. This is a wonderful opportunity for the youth who have dedicated their week to agriculture to showcase and sell their products. The joy of witnessing these young individuals guide and assist visitors in the vegetable garden is extraordinary, as they patiently share insights on what can be harvested and the proper techniques for picking. The pride and satisfaction evident on their faces bring joy to everyone involved. In addition to the harvest, the farm provides a range of enjoyable activities for the entire family, including delicious pizzas, a craft corner, coffee, a children's play area, and a vibrant atmosphere in the open air. We assure you that once you visit Rimon Farm, you will find it hard to stay away.

Organic Produce

We intend to be a sustainable productive farm that knows how to grow excellent and natural produce, and sell it in different variations:
Fresh vegetables, fresh bread, olive oil, and wine from the farm's grapes and olives, tomato sauce for shakshuka, a fresh salad that we also serve in the Cafe, and jars of fig or apricot jam.
We believe that the connection to nature and the open space can also be delicious :)
Come and enjoy our produce on the hospitality days open to the general public.

The Therapeutic Kitchen & Bakery

At least twice a week, the youth enter the bakery and prepare all the produce for the hospitality days open to the general public: doughs for pizzas and focaccia, a variety of cookies, cakes, pastries, Malabi, breads, spreads, and jams.

Working in the kitchen allows them to acquire tools, knowledge, and experience and through this, they enrich their sense of competence and self-worth.
Also, on the hospitality days, the boys experience providing service to customers in selling their produce, and they are satisfied by seeing the audience enjoying what their hands have prepared.

A wood and metal workshop for at-risk youth provides a safe and productive environment for young people facing challenges. In this workshop, they can learn valuable skills in carpentry and metalworking, helping them develop a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work.

We have a relationship with a machining plant, who is interested in offering our youth employment in the future.
